God's Love Shining Though a Child

Totus Tuus 2020

Totus Tuus (pronounced tote-es too-es) (Latin for “Totally Yours”) is a Catholic youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through catechesis, evangelization, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. Totus Tuus strives to help young people to know and love their faith so that they may live it in today’s world.   The Totus Tuus team consists of four college students and seminarians from across the United States (two men and two women).  The team members mission is to teach the faith and inspire the young. The leaders help to make the faith real to our children and youth, making faith a way of life and love, not simply a set of rules and obligations to be followed. The Totus Tuus program is based on a six-year rotating cycle of curriculum: this year’s curriculum will be The Commandments.

Elementary Program (children entering gr. 1-6): Monday-Friday,

June 29th - July 3rd, 9 am to 2:30 pm

Junior/Senior High Program (teens entering gr. 7-12): Sunday through Thursday evenings, June 28th – July 2nd, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

There are registration forms located on the table in the back of church and can also be found online at St. Mary’s Website: www.stmaryshammond.org > Forms

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Yesterday at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish, Hammond,  Avery, a 3 year old girl,  came into the office.  All on her own she emptied her piggy bank and told her mom that she need to take this money to God’s House and give to God.  When she arrived, she carefully placed the money in a protective napkin and gave it to Todd.

Moral of the Story:  During this time, sometimes we struggle to see our future, our hope and God’s Love.  God has placed in front of us, children who are not worried, who are fearless and just simply radiate God’s Love.
